Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We would start the day by receiving some highly informative talks and presentations from some of the solicitors at the firm about their different specialist areas. We also had some tasks to complete for the firm which would serve as a method of assessment. The firm also had a number of diversity networks we could engage with and ask questions about.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The firm's HR team were very useful in explaining what the future path for a lawyer at the firm looks like. In addition to their detailed presentation, they also created ample time for us to have 1:1 meetings with them about potential roles, additional qualifications and also some other opportunities too.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learnt more about the highly dynamic and ever-changing world of commercial law from one of the best firms in the game. I also developed by knowledge about ESG related law which is invaluable considering there is a huge shift in the field of law towards making legal contract more sustainable.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was genuinely amazing. This was one of the main factors which led me to accept my Training Contract with the firm. The firm's high achieving culture coupled with a friendly and welcoming touch was amazing to see as so often high performance and empathy are seen as mutually exclusive.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I throughly enjoyed the insight. From meeting fellow colleagues to learning more about the firm and even participating in well coordinate social events (albeit virtual), the scheme was hugely enjoyable.
