Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Leading a team of 5 people in view of performance management, H&S and wellbeing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy learning and completing the assignments when I have time. When I don't have time, I find it a bit stressful keeping up with the programme but the coaches are so nice and reassuring.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have. The behaviours I encounter on a day-to-day basis make sense and now have associated models and explanations and ways to improve those behaviours if needed.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well. OFSTED came in half way through and suggested some changes which we implemented straight away. I was impressed; takes my government organisation years to implement a change!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
As much as I need. I work offline 1 day a week to catch up on my learning and my assignments. My workplace is very understanding; they are paying for it afterall.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot. Whenever I need it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It's still early days but I feel in a better position than I was before. It's definitely helping.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
So much that I could choose anything. Anything at all. My organisation is amazing at this.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's fairly easy work and its very interesting. Benefits you a lot!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs?
Make sure you have a plan in place from the very beginning for completing the assignments. Make sure you know how many you will get and when, so you don't fall behind. Falling behind is very demoralising and could have been avoided. I feel like I'll never catch up!
