Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is a apprentice. This involves looking after children from ages 1-5 years and being included in ratio. I am expected to take care of children by completing daily diaries which include nappy changing times, what they ate or drank, media that shows their activities throughout the day and their sleep times. I also have to complete observations of each child every week and I am supposed to know the dietary needs of each child too.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme to a great extent as i enjoy being around children. I am the oldest sibling of many younger ones and i`ve been around young children most of my life therefore i understand how children may act sometimes.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn many skills since starting my apprenticeship. I know that when looking after children of the early years, i must be on their level at all times. It is important to behave in a calm manner when around children as abrupt behaviour can affect the childs behaviour too.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The day-to-day schedule is very structured in my opinion. The children have more than enough free play and take part in many activities to increase their knowledge.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve a lot of support from my employer. She gives me feedback whenever she thinks i need it and this improves my work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider gives me a lot of support. She sets me work every month and we have online meetings so she she can talk to me about my progress and talk me through the work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The work that i complete for my traiing provider helps me as an apprentice at work as it gives me more knowledge as to how behave around children and how to treat each child equally.
