Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Creating kitchens and bathrooms for customers. Daily it involves Home measures, designing/planning, customer interactions, demonstrating products, product knowledge, dealing with money and fiance, time management and dealing with challenging queries and proactively resolving concerns.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was very insightful and it helped working in groups as you got to build relationships with the other apprentices. It exceeded my expectations and didn't realise how quickly I could become a design consultant.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to be be more confident and overcome challenging questions and finding the suitable way to get the end result to solve the problem. I have learnt building regulations within a kitchen and bathroom space,

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was organised throughout. The training was detailed and insightful, but also if I had any questions my coach was always there to help.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support from my mentor/coach throughout the apprenticeship as well as help from the other students on the apprenticeship

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received a lot of support from my mentor helping me be confident it my knowledge and making sure I was well equipped to do my job role and reach the qualification.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe it gives me a different view on how the job role works, however you do learn how to do the job when actually doing the job. The apprenticeship helps with the knowledge.
