Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Economic modelling, data analysis, coordinating input between consultant analysts, technical policy and business policy.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy doing what I do .

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt lots, both through working and through the apprenticeship - teaching a degree in economics with government appraisal focused modules.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
It was rather poorly structured to start, and there have continued to be some teething issues as I am in the first year cohort.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employers are very flexible with work loads and study loads. They are very accommodating to exams or quiet periods where they can increase my responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The university has been great - the residential week at the beginning of the academic year also helps.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Having a degree in economics is a requirement in my profession. Whilst it does not necessarily help in the day to day tasks, (you can learn this in the first couple of terms at uni and continued work experience) it will prove useful in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are frequent networking opportunities X-government, with other analysts and other apprentices of varying experience.
