I applied for the BIT apprenticeship with Amazon MAN1, and my roles was to work as a warehouse associates, i worked in the stow where goods are stored, pack, also where orders are package and dispatched. I also worked in single pack, and return, donation and as well as destroy
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I hated the program, not because of the program itself, but because of the way its been conducted by Amazon and Babington, and because of the way i was treated due to my background by the trainer right from the start of the program till the end, i was hunted, and Amazon just stood aside and watch even when i made a report about what i was going through

Not really, i already have that skill in my previous role in Amazon outside the UK

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not organized at all. All what was advertised about the program by Amazon only existed on paper. Amazon is only interested in making apprentice work for them to achieve productivity target rather than the educational training involved, managers have practically no support for the apprentice. They are just on their own
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Little or no support, When i reported how i was being treated, by the trainer, nothing was done about it, the apprenticeship coordinators did nothing. I was totally disappointed because these are people who were suppose to help in times like this according to what they wrote in the apprentice hand out
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I was supported by [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], in making sure i pass my Mathematic Exam when i had challenges, she was very wonderful and kind
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I learnt a lot, and a lot was acquired just because i stayed focused

Would you recommend Amazon to a friend?
No
Why?
Its not a trusted organization and does not have the interested of workers, Apprentice are just been used as tool by each manager to achieve productivity target and not necessarily to get the best of the program.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
Avoid Amazon Apprenticeship program because what they advertise to get you in, is not what you get after you have stated the program. They will promise to give all a permanent contract after the program, but at the end of it, they take their favorites, and find reasons not to take others and you will be told at the last minute,
