Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work as part of a scrum team and get to develop user stories in the back end java. I also spend a day a week working on my uni assignments or attending lectures. occasionally going into the office one day a week to met up with my team and attend meetings
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I do enjoy the uni part as i feel like i am improving my skils and at the moment the work load isnt too hard, however my day to day job is sometimes quite challenging as i need to build my skills more to be abe to contribute more to the team

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
yes I have been working on the fornt end using the java script frame work angular and also i have more recently started looking at react framework. I have also been using java and working with the databases in the back end which is the area i am more interested

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
not particularly well organised as when i joined as a level four it was in the assumption i could do the level 6 straight afterwards and this want the case so i have spent 2 and a half years doing the level 4 and now have 3 and a half for the level 6
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I am able to go on training courses that i like and they have plenty in house learning also to that i am able to spend my 1 day a week working on my uni work however somtimes that work over flows and i spend my free time working on uni
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
plenty of support i can message any tutors to get help and they explain the assignments clearly and give us plenty of supporting documents and i am happy with the amount they allow us to be able to take the learning into my ouwn hands. i am in my first year so it might get harder
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
a fair bit as i use some of the tools we are learning from the training provider in my day to day life, but on the other hand some of the courses are completely irrelevant but that is at no fault of the training provider it is just the curriculum
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
well before covid there was a fair bit going on in the office as the gym was open however since covid i havent been or even seen any other activities apart from some social events at pubs and bars which gives a limited option on what activities are going on

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vodafone to a friend?
Yes
Why?
good support and work environment with good pay for the minuite as well and gives you plenty of options in which training provider you would like to go with which isnt something other companeies might allow also the level of experience within the company is very high so it is a god place to be
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
its less about expirance when applying as an apprentice its more about showing personality and showing that you have willingness to learn as skills can be taught but its harder to change a someones personality . also maybe showing confidence in group situations and willingness to get involved will look positively.
