Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Currently I assist my team in carrying out valuations on residential and commercial properties, some days I am in the office gathering information to support our values and other days I am out on inspections getting to see all sorts of different properties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme and there are so many benefits that come with working for Savills, all of the teams are helpful and welcoming.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I learn new skills every week as well as increasing my knowledge of the industry, both through work and through studying through University.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is structured very well and fits my learning style perfectly. I have one day of the week dedicated to studying for my University degree and the other four days I am learning on the job by undertaking different tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive plenty of support from my employer. They ensure that I have everything I need such as a work phone, laptop and a suitable work environment.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider give me plenty of support by providing weekly webinars and recordings if you are unable to attend the webinars. As well as this, they provide you with useful resources to aid your studying and which also help you when completing your assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The good thing about studying for my qualification is that it covers topics as a whole in property, allowing me to develop my knowledge further. Although not all of it will be directly applied to my job, it is beneficial to have a general understanding.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Quite often there are social events through work, whether that is going out for client events or networking with other young property professionals. There is also an upcoming surveyors rugby event which I know quite a few people get involved in.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Savills is a great culture to be apart of and for me the apprenticeship was the best route. The fact that you work towards a degree and have no debt afterwards, finish the apprenticeship with 4-5 years worth of experience under your belt and earning a salary are huge benefits.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Make sure you know why you're applying for the role and what the role is. Also ensure you have some background knowledge on Savills and think about what traits would make you suitable for the role and company.
