Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Every day is different, but generally my week will consist of maybe 1 -2 site inspection and then doing the follow up work. The inspection would be looking at property defects, undertaking surveys or meeting contractors on site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I have enjoyed the programme and gotten immense help from the Learning and Development team. There are lots of training opportunities which helps with the day job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt, and am still learning, the art of prioritisation. Sometimes tasks will require our immediate attention and other can wait, so knowing this can help manage workload.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is very structured as we are working towards getting a professional qualification. The training provided by the company and external providers also helps in structuring the programme and knowing what to do when.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have received a lot of support from my employer. Everyone wants to see you succeed and get qualified and are willing to help you get there.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We meet with our university supervisor every quarterly and they are available on the phone and by email if we need them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The degree was pretty broad but it helps to understand all aspects of the discipline and paint a bigger picture to the projects you are working on, which you might not always consider through doing the day job only.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are sports club and various committees and events we can be a part of.
