Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role includes using data to understand consumer trends in my role, whilst being able to use this information to improve our social media platforms across all of the different brands that I've been supporting. I'm also responsible for the admin and organisation within' my team which includes sample orders, purchase orders and brand organisation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have really enjoyed my programme so far, as I'm able to work will well-known brands to see results on our social pages such as higher consumer interaction rates. I've also enjoyed learning how to use these insights and improve our e-commerce and social presence. It's been great.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learnt so many new skills since starting my apprenticeship, from basic skills such as being able to use Excel to being able to manage social media content being live on our social media platforms to increase consumer engagement. I've also learnt how to manage my calendar more effectively, which I'll be able to take into any role in the future.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well-structured as the I have a Friday as my study day, where I'm not required to complete any brand work or admin to ensure that I have time to complete all of my coursework. It's been an effective way to make sure that I'm able to manage my time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support that I have received from my line manager has been amazing, I'm able to ask for longer to study if needed as I'm dyslexic it often takes me slightly longer to complete my coursework. My multiverse coach is also very supportive of this, and I'm able to reach out with any questions, concepts or topics that I don't understand.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive plenty of support from my course provider, multiverse as we have monthly one to one calls with our coach and we have monthly calls with our training group which includes other Unilever apprentices from different aspects of the business. Multiverse has been very supportive when I don't understand concepts or topics from my coursework.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
By being able to understand data concepts better in my role, I'm able to put these into practice from what I've learnt in my coursework. Even simple skills that I've learnt from my coursework such as being able to manage my time, emails and being able to increase my confidence speaking in the office.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lot's of social events with Unilever as there are many people who I work with that are around the same age as me, as they are either still students or graduates. There are lot's of sports teams such as netball and football teams. There are also lot's of days out such as The Great Walk where we will be walking a marathon around London for charity.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend joining Unilever because the experience and programme have both been fab, I'm super glad I chose this route into University as I'm gaining marketing and digital experience whilst being paid to study. I can say that I've learnt so many new skills that I will be able to take into any workplace in the future, even if I didn't want to stay in Marketing.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
I would say that you need to ask for opportunities and express a keen interest in development areas that you are keen to grown in, as I've had so many opportunities to learn about different aspects of the business even though I'm a marketing associate. I think that confidence is a priority at Unilever and being able to talk about your previous experiences at school or previous jobs will be very beneficial at your interview/assessment centre.
