Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work within the indirect procurement department supporting the supply of items that aren't directly involved with the output of the company such as the drives.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Honestly best job I've ever had! Very different to a normal part time job working for example at grocery store or a pub. Even though you are very young, you are still treated as an adult. You have a lot of responsibilities, however it is okay if you make a mistake, you are expected to as an apprentice.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes lots!
New skills would include - different e-systems to help aid the procurement such as SAP, business etiquette, supporting other departments not just procurement.
Developed skills - usage with Office 365, especially Excel, staying calm in stressful situations.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I work 4 days a week (monday - thursday) and have 1 day off (friday) for study purposes. I have lectures about twice a month with CIPS which are all day or half a day and online.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is always someone to ask when you don't understand something. It's completely fine to constantly be asking questions. I have 1-2-1 sessions with my line manager also each week.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
a lot of Cips learning is independent however the study guides are very straightforward and easy to teach yourself. you can email to ask for support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
understand CIPS definitely helps to understand my job role. there a lots of abbreviations to understand within procurement and CIPS explains these all in depth.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, we have a netball group and a football group. As a procurement department we also tend to meet up outside of work occasionally and go for meals.
