Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

We interns would attend panels discussing the roles and projects of different sector and product teams in the firm. Also we took part in presenting different possible transactions in small teams of 3 or 4.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

It was an insight programme for a week, so there was not enough time to get fully immersed and take on any responsibility.

I leant how to pitch potential financial transaction and developed my interview skills. Learnt more about the different elements of investment banking.

The team organising it was genuinely so helpful and supportive helping us learn about Jefferies's work and culture. The Graduate Recruitment team were super helpful and welcoming as a whole.

Great team and entrepreneurial spirit. Also the environment was very inclusive of everyone.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend anyone vaguely interested to apply. I leant so much in a small period of time, which I did not think was possible.
