Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Supporting vulnerable adults in the community to live as independently as possible and providing equipment, support, information and guidance and resources to do so with family and carers also. Working as part of a team to enable and enhance the lives of said individuals and following BCP principles within the conurbation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

really good layout of the course, easy to access and trainer is fab. Feel really supported and am enjoying the learning and reinforcement of existing skills and knowledge. Works well alongside working role and like to be able to complete 'off the job training' and partnership working within the team and wider professional community.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have identified the key principles of my role and how to enhance my professional practice. I feel more confident to deliver a great service to those in the community that need it and to share newly found skills and knowledge within the team I work with thus providing a better service provision.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organized, great layout that can be adapted to suit my needs as a learner. I like to be able to pick up sections more relevant to my differing role at times and the flexibility being offered. Enjoy the variety of learning such as virtual discussions, observations, work shadowing and assignment completion.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Very supportive employer, able to discuss expectations and how to link learning with daily practice. My manager is very keen for me to share newly found knowledge with the team and promotes learning and development at all levels and knows the benefit of a developing team. Encouraging and reassuring throughout.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Very supportive and always available if needed for any questions or queries. Always gives great feedback and I enjoy the professional discussions had. I also like the flexibility and being able to change any assignments to fit in with working patterns as and when required. Friendly and approachable with great knowledge.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel more confident and able to converse with peers with a better understanding or terminology. Has enhanced my own knowledge and skills and I am also sharing newly found skills and knowledge with the team I work in. Also with the flexibility it enables a good work life balance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Due to the covid 19 restrictions we are currently not able to meet up as a team, working from home unless absolutely necessary. Prior to the restrictions we were having regular social activities and the hope is we will return to this once the covid numbers in our area start to drop. We do have professional network events held virtually.

Company I work with? embrace the changes as we progress to a combined conurbation and share the vision for the future in BCP adult social care service provision.
