Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
It differs from placement to placement, but a lot of my work involves working with data and spreadsheets to produce weekly or monthly reports.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy working at BAE Systems, especially when I'm learning something new which is a lot of the time. I really enjoy the qualification/college side of things because it offers a change from normal day-to-day placement jobs.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I've definitely learnt new skills and also developed my existing skills a lot during my time here already. This includes confidence skills, communication skills, excel and general IT skills and so much more.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
From my experience so far I would say it's very organised and structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There are so many people that are able to offer you support at BAE Systems, and I am always reminded of that.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Once again, the support is always there.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The college sessions really teach me a lot of important things that I need to know to carry out my role. Researching and writing assignments also helps me to understand things better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
From my experience I haven't seen much of this, but I'm sure there is.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a great place to work, the company treats you really well and the job comes with so many benefits.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Ask questions, try to be confident and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Do things that scare you because at the end of it is where you'll feel most accomplished and rewarded.
