Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Training is good, involves lots of practical and theory work related to what you'll be doing as an aerospace engineer. When doing theory work you'll be taught content and then expected to pass an exam shortly after, and practical work involves manufacture and repair of interesting projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme is very interesting, and you mostly get what you signed up for. The theory work in training can be a bit boring, but this is made up for by practical work where you are given the independence to work and also lots of help is provided if needed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Learnt lots of practical skills, which were well taught and demonstrated in the practical phase of training. Considering I never really had any manufacturing and technical skills, this training has given me lots of skills in a practical sense.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well structured, and you will always have something to do. In addition, time is always allocated for any other tasks outstanding. The mix of theory and practical work is also well done, and ensures that training is as diverse and interesting as it can be.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
You are informed of where to get help for a range of issues that you may have, and when doing any work or training, there are plenty of people available that can help you with any problems. The staff are very approachable for any help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
They ensure that you pass any training, and additional study sessions and associated assistance is provided if required should you fail or struggle with training or work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
There are a range of practical skills and knowledge obtained in training, this can be well applicated to work and where this is applicable is demonstrated when you are taught the skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
There isn't that much on offer, but the company recommends using the network to contact other employees creating about events and e.g. sports.
