My role is a mechanical fitter which means I work fitting and repairing engines, pipes, hydraulic systems and so on. On a day to day basis we are in class working on knowledge questions or in the workshop conducting a practical assessment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the practical side of my programme and enjoy working in a workshop, however working in the class is not as enjoyable and we are often told to look things up instead of being taught.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt multiple skills such as using specialist tools, working in a engineering environment and working as a team.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme has many benefits such as a good management and instructor team who are always happy to help when asked but there is a lack of communication between instructors on multiple occasions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive good support from our managers, HR, instructors and so on
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive mixed amount of support depending on the trainer with some always checking in on us and others showing up once per day.
