Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We were able to speak to analysts in a range of divisions, as well as listening in to analyst and associate deal teach ins which were really useful. This was conducted over Zoom, everything went really smoothly - a very enjoyable experience. We were allowed to ask questions whenever and also at the end of any talks we were encouraged to reach out to the analysts.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Really cool, found out that there were so many more roles than I originally thought at Jefferies, so there really is scope to find a particular area of interest.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Definitely, I would say I have learnt a lot more about Investment Banking and the certain work at an analyst level that is involved at each stage. You hear a lot about the deals that go on in the finance world but rarely do I hear it from people who actually took part in that deal. It was really awesome to hear what they had to say.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company atmosphere was the best! Everyone talked about the inclusive and collaborative culture at Jefferies and how teams worked together for clients to produce the best results. This was across the entire firm and was really awesome to hear from the analysts that they had felt this collaborative atmosphere.
