Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Being a shiftleader In a care home, I give medication, assign shifts for carers, when they have breaks, who is assigned to certain floors and visits.
I make sure all residents receive the best personal care, updating care plans, I run the breakfast shift making sure all residents have been looked after, I often have regular telephone calls with GPs and District nurses as well as regular family member visiting around the home.

I felt like I ways had enough work to do, I had always managed to keep up with it all and I was always ahead of myself!

[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was absolutely fantastic, I could send her a text and she would reply very quickly, we spoke every month and if I was ever unsure then she would guide me in the right direction.
We did practice run through of the test so I didn't feel so nervous on my end point assessment!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

She was great, we spoke regularly and she was always so easy to talk to.
We did practice runs, I could send her a message and she would reply back.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I play sports outside of wok but there isn't much linked in the workplace.
