Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

learning differnet machines is a useful task as i can now then use in the actual workshop, an example is the ability to use a lathe i have learnt specific parts of a lathe Tailstock, Bed, Carriage, Lead Screw, Feed Rod, Chip Pan, Hand Wheel. Also how to operate z and x axis
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

lathes, scraping Scraping work is that of scraping off very fine depressions on the polished surface using a tool called a "scraper". Such scraping operation is done on the sliding surface of the bed of a machine or on the surfaces of moving machine parts. this is hard work but worth it

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

yes lots i have learnt how to knurl which is, A knurling tool is a manufacturing and repairing tool used on lathe machines. A knurling tool is used to give the metal a criss-cross pattern shape, which helps the human hand to hold the knurled tool more firmly. this is good to learn

yeah good, An organizational structure is either centralized or decentralized. Traditionally, organizations have been structured with centralized leadership and a defined chain of command. The military is an organization famous for its highly centralized structure, with a long and specific hierarchy of superiors and subordinates. there is good comunication and teaching for apprentices
How much support do you receive from your employer?

lots, We want you to know how much we appreciate the way you conduct your business. We want you to know that we are really pleased with the excellent quality of your products / services. We would like to thank your staff for finishing our work before deadline. it is good when i am not sure what im doing
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

yeah good, lots of support is provided from training in the work place as we have college lessons in work and in the work place this is good as instructors teach us in the work place as this is a comfortable environment, and we do tests so mocks can be easily accessible
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the qualification provided by the training provider is the company Awe for the first year as this enables us to work more sufficiently with this process we can take the knowledge and put it into practical practice and helps us understand as we can see first hand what is going on
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

not really, there are certain events that are possible to join or participate in for instance various charity doos and events that the company provides however for now i am focusing on getting the necessary qualifications and practical skills as this is my favourite part of the apprenticeship as they are physical actions

Would you recommend AWE to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend AWE to a friend as i feel that there are lots of varying jobs and apprenticeship schemes that mostly any one can a role that suits them and that they can enjoy, also from my personal experience i have not had any bad times in my experience. At the end of the apprenticeship you are guaranteed a job which is a big bonus
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AWE?
when applying to AWE i would recommending researching the role that you will take place in the company and make sure you know the broad and general of the job as this allows you to prepare for any specific questions that maybe asked and so that you know what you will be involved in.
