Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job includes speaking with customers and dealing with home claims. It involves being understanding, patient and making sure we are there for the customers. I take calls and deal with registering new claims as well as handling existing. As well we have to manage our tasks and emails we receive.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy learning about more job and about insurance through my apprenticeship. It has taught me a lot, what certain phases and words mean. Different processes and case studies about insurance. With the information i learn in the apprenticeship program helps me with my job and have a better understanding of it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
In my job I have developed my skills, with this being existing i have developed my English and maths as these are used during each day. Along with my communication skills.
I have also learned new skills, more around what insurance is and also how claims are dealt with, this includes more complex claims.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I would say the program is well structed, every 6 weeks we have catch reviews about where we are with our learning and what we need to improved on and do next to push for the best results. If additional support is need this can be arranged and is very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Each week i get 2 hours to carry out my revision for my apprenticeship program. I also am able to get time booked out if need for revision with my mentor, or meetings with my talent coach. The day before exams we get a full day so we can revise.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My talent coach is my training provider, i have a meeting with them every 6 weeks to discuss where i am and if i need any additional support. They also reply to my emails if i have any questions or am struggling to understand any aspects. They push me to do my best.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Doing my qualification it helps me get a better understanding for the job i am doing. It gives me further background knowledge for the whole of insurance rather than just the job i am in. When i have had training on certain stuff in my job this might be something i can already aware of because of the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Within work there are certain groups to groups to join. There is a sports and social club which often has something ongoing. There is sometimes charity events on to fundraise money. There is a team who do lots of volunteering and go out an help with the community in lots of different things.
