Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The week is split into 3 days spent working on sales projects/campaigns, and 2 days spent in finance-specific training and analytics tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility, which both surprised and excited me. I was made to feel part of the team from day 1 and was given lots of autonomy in managing my time across the projects I was working on. I was given many opportunities to contribute to the business in a different ways and truly appreciated being immersed in the outstanding business culture.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was connected with 3 mentors, all of whom were supportive, involved, and engaged from before the internship even started, and all the way through the process. Aside from my mentors, my team leaders, managers, HR contacts, and other members of staff were all supportive and approachable. Overall, I felt very supported throughout.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was like nothing I have experienced elsewhere - in all the best ways! I found that everyone I interacted with embodied the culture of openness, collaboration, and giving back that the business champions. There are many associations, communities, and activities available to get involved in, too!

What advice would you give to others applying to Bloomberg
Research the business offering (aside from just the terminal!) and understand how the company gives back to the world. The culture is a huge part of what makes Bloomberg special. And don't be put off by a potential lack of technical skills / financial background - these can be learned!
