Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am part of Kier Design Services (strategic highways) so I mainly do CAD work, this involves looking at road sign design, road markings design and the occasional roadside site visit.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my degree apprenticeship as it allows me to lean, earn and get a qualification!

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills to do with the operation of CAD and developed existing skills in online services like GIS.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

On Kiers behalf, the organisation is perfect. There are a minority of Coventry uni staff that are disorganised ect, but only a minority.

4/5
I receive adequate support from my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Coventry uni are good but some staff struggle to get back to students. In particular the civil engineering apprenticeship course leader.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Without the theory provided by Coventry uni I would be clueless in my day to day job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are definitely extra curricular training sessions ect, but I don't attend many.
