Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Data capture with regular meetings and project presentations. Also involved in daily tasks relating to my team's products.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given huge responsibility in my internship as the project I was working on could become a key product for Bloomberg and transform the transparency of ESG data in the market.
I was also given responsibility in my time management of my tasks which was great.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received plentiful support during my internship. I had weekly meetings with my team leader and daily catchups with my mentor / buddy.
Whenever I needed help I could ask anyone and everyone was always so willing to help.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture was strikingly open. It struck me how collaborative and transparent the culture was and everyone is extremely friendly. The opportunities available are also limitless as you are able to follow your interests.
Diversity and inclusion is also integral to the culture at Bloomberg which really enables us to be our authentic selves at work.
