Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Plan and carry out daily activities for dementia. Assist with personal care. Ensure nutrition and fluid intake. Undertake relevant paperwork and keep updated. General maintenance of work place. Infection control champion.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoyed my program and getting experienced with the behind the scenes of running a business and it has built my confidence up so that I now feel ready to take the next step. I found it interesting
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to lead a team of carers. I have developed my finance skills and meetings which will help with a promotion to day service officer in the near future.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very organised. My tutor helped me break it down into weekly and monthly goals to complete to achieve the grade I wanted. We had weekly virtual meetings and monthly practices for the assessments and discussion. We discussed and worked o areas I was struggling with until I was confident.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer supports me every step of the way. She has allowed me a computer day once a week to get my assignments done and has always answered and questions and concerns.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider has been brilliant! Weekly catch ups to see how I am progressing and always answered and queries very quickly
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has improved my performance and given me the opportunity to have more responsibility for things I never did. And when the promotion comes up, my employer has encouraged me to go for it
