As an healthcare assistance our focus is to provide a care with individual who need support in their daily life. This include helping individual with medication, personal care, assisting with food and fluids, navigate medical appointment. Most especial managing their health care and well being need with person centred way.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I found this programme really enjoyable because i manage to do it on my own time and my instructor kelly house is really supportive and so help-full through my apprenticeship
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Through out of my apprenticeship program i lean a lot and really usable on my work environment. Learning and developing this new skill up lift my self confidence and gain more insight with my job role and how to handle other people as a senior care staff.

The programme structure is well organised. It giving me idea with my progression and learning till the end and preparing me to my EPA.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is giving full support throughout my apprenticeship programme in a way having frequently appraisal and discussion regarding to my apprenticeship, keep my progress on track and providing broad understanding on my course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider Paragon Skills provided me all the tools and learning resources to support my learning toward the end of my qualification and the good thing about paragon skills my instructor explain each subject in a proper way, always open for any question or very accommodating.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge i got from this apprenticeship help me a lot in my job role. I learn a lot in dealing with different conflict encounter during work, knowledge in regards to different legislation and providing the best quality of care to the clients. Boosting my confidence to lead the team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Work shadow manage to under go shadowing with our professional nurse in doing clinical job like changing dressing, catheter flushing, wound assessment, peg feeding and administrating medication . Observing documenting and helping on assessing client to promote independent with our support.
