Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a Team Leader in Wayfair.
My main responsibilities are:
Brief/debrief warehouse operatives at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure all work flows consistently throughout the day.
Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or
exceeded.
Conduct necessary training within the department.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Yes, the program is very enjoyable. I have improved my skills and knowledge and meet new people. The trainers are very nice and they always trying to helps and support us. The program itself is very interesting and I'm sure everyone would find some interesting topics. I'm looking forward to the next session.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is very well organized. It all starts with the induction where they explained to us how the apprenticeship works, what is involved, what are our responsibilities, tasks and what we gonna gain from it. After that we have 10 meetings where we go through the assignments and task.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My Employer provides me with great support. Every time I need something they are ready to support me. I have meetings with my manager regarding my progress. I have access a lot of websites where I can gain new knowledge and improve my skills. This is very helpful not only for professional development but also personal.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provide has been excellent. You could see straight away that the trainers have a lot of experience, motivation skills and they always try to create a good atmosphere on the meetings. They always offer support if we are struggling with our assignments or have any other issues that they could help us..

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I'm just few months in and it already had a great impact on my personal performance and on the performance of the whole team as well. Time management is very important at my workplace and also learning styles can be implemented to improve our KPI's.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are always opportunities to join online meetings to gain knowledge about the company.
