Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My role is more on the fault management side of the business. My role only deal with business customers and not residential customer. I spent most of my times dealing with alarm faults and phoneline issues. I also tend to answer calls from customers that would like to raise tickets or update them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy the programme. It has been a great experience so far. I am happy with the rewards you receive by completing the programme. The qualifications will help me build a strong portfolio and go further within the company. It's been great working for a large company and dealing with so many different types of customers and understanding their needs.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I am able to test and investigate live faults and see where the issue lies. I am able to action alarms tickets. I know the process of logging tickets and the different SLAs. I can design and build networks. I am able to communicate well with customers to make them understand the situation.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I believe the programme had a good structure but it can be improved lightly. We have to take into consideration the times we are in, it hasn't been easy for anyone. There is a lot of transparency of what is going on which makes it easier to make plans to reach our goals.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive quite a lot of support from my employers. They give me enough time to complete any coursework or study for exams. We have monthly meetings to discuss my progress and if I require more assistance. Since the start, I believe the support has got much better. There is a good balance between work and studying.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a lot of support. I have a skills coach that has helped me through my whole course whether it be exams or coursework. They make sure I spend enough time of the job studying. I have monthly meetings with my skills coach to discuss my progress and what needs to be done to reach my goal.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I believe my role and the qualifications I am training for go hand in hand. MY course focuses on the networks and my role helps support networks. Learning on the course helps me in my role because I can understand more the more I learn. Putting it into practice also helps me understand the technical side of things.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many activities to get involved in. I tend to play football once a week with some of my colleagues. There are events every quarter to discuss how the company is doing and future projects. There are well-being events that focuses on mental health which I think is vital.
