Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Working on comparable research for properties located in our investment markets. I also explored a new sector regarding data centres, which was really interesting to learn about. We also attending daily seminars hosted by each individual team, which gave a fantastic insight about the entirety of Savills.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Very interesting, Savills is a very large company with a global presence. You really get a feel of this by attending the daily seminars explaining what each department does. It is something they really focus on in your internship, so you can start to think about the pathways for your APC . There is a place for every real estate interest at Savills !

I have developed my Excel skills, from things such as formatting to more advanced things such as using ARGUS software.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly, most people I spoke to were very hospitable and really were keen to engage and get to know more about you and your future.
The atmosphere is relatively relaxed. and you are essentially responsible for completing your own work.

I really Enjoyed the insight, it opened my eyes up to departments I did not even know existed, and allowed me to think more in depth about future career opportunities.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills
Be yourself, it sounds so cliché but ultimately real estate is all about being personable. Everyone in the office is friendly, professional and has good banter so it just as important to fit the culture as well as in an academic discipline. Show and demonstrate your passion for the real estate industry and how this links in with your future.
