I am the business engagement lead in the media and creative technology team as part of a wider consumer experience team. I am the go to person for all things shoppability / effortless to buy solutions for both colleagues and external partners
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, I am glad that I chose this path post A-levels and feel that the balance of working and studying works well for me. Unilever is a great place to grow and the friendly culture puts you at ease.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt the importance of catering the information you deliver to your audience. I need to have a full understanding of the technical capabilities and be able to translate them to the markets who want to understand the business benefits.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured in terms of work vs study balance. I always receive my 20% off job hours to study, however, I feel that there could be more awareness around the studying with LMs

I received lots of support and encouragement in my work and there is a big focus on well-being.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I always am allocated my 20% off the job hours, however, I feel there could be more guidance during exam season.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I don't find my degree helps me to perform better in my role directly, content wise. On the other hand, I feel that having the qualification to complete helps me with my time management which is beneficial.

Yes, since COVID restirctions are easing, there are lots of social activities to get involved in. Sports, socials, learning events.....

Why?
Great opportunity to get stuck into work and learn at the same time. It suits my personality to have a balance of university and career. I feel like I have learnt so much in a short space of time.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Be yourself. You aren't expected to know everything but you must be willing to learn it.
Also, it is important to know in yourself why you want to apply to Unilever.
