My role involves machining. Using different clamping devices l, cutters and collets
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the apprenticeship programme what’s happening because it gives more opportunities to be hands on because I am working with machinery like milking machines and lathes. I also enjoy doing hand fitting because I did a level two in college before the apprenticeship and I really enjoyed it

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt new skills how to set up machines in different ways eg like clamping devices, setting up cutters into different holding devices like collets and jacobs chucks I’ve also developed my hand fitting skills because I did a level 2 mechanical course in college before this

The programme is very well organised and structured because it’s all in the order but there are improvements what could be done to alter the programme. Overall I think this is a very good programme what’s been done

I receive support when doing my training but I could receive more because I ask for help but they don’t give me help. And they say just transpose it but they don’t do anything to help me
