Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work with CAD software within the college to learn how to be a designer and use the software whilst also completing other various lessons which are relevant to my apprenticeship and my further development these lessons vary from electrical principles to engineering projects, which I enjoy equally as they are entertaining.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship programme as I feel it is challenging whilst still remaining interesting and every new day hosts new tasks which keep me interested in the work that I am completing and allows me to apply what I am learning throughout my day to day life as well as within work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to further utilise CAD software and make complex 2D and 3D models as well as furthered my understanding of various concepts within my mechanical and electrical principles lessons which I can easily apply within life as well as throughout my time within my working life, this is very useful.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I personally feel that my programme is well organised and well structured and allows me to develop and exceed my goals as if it wasn’t this could be a very large hinderance to not only myself but also the business within the further years of my development and working life.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive all the support that is necessary and I also know that if I am not to receive this support, where I can go and who I can speak to if I require any form of extra support and I know that my issues will be resolved as expected.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Again I receive all of the necesseray support which allows me to thrive and develop and reach my qualifications within the college as without the qualifications I cannot enter the businesses and start my working life smoothly and begin to put one foot in the right direction for the future.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel all of the skills and lessons I am attending are extent my valuable to me and allow me to display what I have learnt as I transition into the business and into my role as if they were not then they would not be a productive use of my time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are extra curricular activities available within work but in addition to Thais activities could easily be set up or created outside of work to increase morale or improve relationships with those around me and these occasions are regular so there are plenty of chances to get involved in things.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
As I feel that they are a strong and supportive company which really strive to create strong minded individuals and if the work ethic is there they can easily provide life time employment for not only locals but many people from a far as they can travel for a role within the prestigious company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Always have faith in yourself and throughout the application process never doubt yourself as if you do this you are already putting yourself at a disadvantage in your own head and this will show when you are being interviewed or having conversations with your potential employers and this is something to avoid.
