Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
As a design engineer in the Hull and Outfit department, I am required to draw specific parts of the structure of the submarine.
In order to draw these parts, we use CAD software to move around different parts of the submarine.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy this programme as I have met a lot of good people who I enjoy working with and the job itself is interesting and challenging. The jobs vary each day and these are challenges that I enjoy encountering.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
So far, I believe that I have further developed my CAD inventor skills and have gained a better understanding of what is required of me in the workplace.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
So far in the first year of the apprenticeship, I believe that the structure of the programme has been lacking in some areas, specifically the communication between one another. Due to the circumstances that have occurred, I fully understand why this is.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The support that I receive from my employer is good. They provide both mental and physical support and are very supporting with things such as assignments and work that is to be due.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Again, the support that I receive from my training provider is good and they are very supportive with the work they set. They have given me all the support I need and they all have a willingness to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
They have provided us with the basic understanding of what will be required of me in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
We have not really been informed of any extra curriculum activities.

Yes
Why?
