Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in VTV, Integration and Development. I validate the new features with the backend through API's. I also work on projects developing in house tools for modifying metadata files.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy learning new things and feeling a valuable member of the team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to read and make API's, learnt basic code in JSON and C++. Also, I learning how the TV industry works, including AWS features like s3 buckets and cloudwatch being used in VTV.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Currently I have clear module, lecture and assignment dates, which helps me plan my work load around.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager is extremely supportive; where I am able to inform him with any dates of lectures or exams and I am given the necessary time to complete any uni work with no issues. I pride my manager in ensuring I am prioritising my uni work over Vodafone work.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

So far the lecturers I have had have been extremely helpful, answering questions and marking my work very quickly. They're all extremely approachable and offer extra learning support.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

So far the modules that are new to me have not helped towards my job role. Although, a few modules that I already have good prior knowledge has helped me recap my skills.
