Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role changes every couple of months depending on which team I move into. Currently within my team I have been working on Security Feedback slides, questionnaires and creating insightful videos on Phishing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme as I get to move around through lots of departments, gaining an understanding of how each one functions and the daily activities they do.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my Technical skills on excel as the Job Role involves a lot of work on this software. I have also had trainings on communication skills which was highly helpful

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I can see National Grid had organised a well structured programme despite Covid Restrictions. However (Through no fault of National Grid) the training provider gave incorrect dates for their training which has messed parts of it up.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support is always available to you whenever you need it. There is a positive atmosphere at national grid that encourages you to reach out for support and support others when possible making you feel comfortable.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Can't comment on this yet, haven't had any training and have only just handed in the first part of my portfolio which hasn't been marked
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Again, hard to comment on. From the policy research I have done for my first project It has helped me recognise a lot of policies i might not of been aware of at first.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
From what I have heard there are lots of social activities and networking events at National Grid.

Yes

Just be yourself, it's not about trying to learn everything you about the company or being able to recite answers straight away.
