Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I handle insurance complaints for motor, Home, Business and commercial lines business from a sales and service point of view, providing an impartial review, providing feedback, redress and dealing with the finanical ombudsman where appropriate, all customers are also provided with a final written response to confirm the decision and how it was reached
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am finding my programme extremely enjoyable and informative, and have already recommended the programme to several team mates for their consideration all of the tutors are friendly and easy to talk to when having our monthly meetings, as I've done the entirety of my course from home with no face to face contact I've found their approach-ability to be a great help

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
During the course of my apprenticeship I have developed, current skills and gained a much wider knowledge of the insurance industry as a whole, rather than the singled sighted view I had previously of working for just the one insurer, Id say i now have a greater understanding of the whole industry

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My Programme, is both organised and structured extremely well, I have regular catch up's with my tutor and I know exactly what is and has been expected of me throughout the whole programme, before each meeting my training log and trackers are sent for review and further discussion in the sessions to ensure everything is up to date and where it needs to be
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive as much support as I require from my employer, they are eager for more people to take up these opportunities in order to learn and grow and develop there skills and knowledge in all areas of insurance - especially in a role like mine where everything inst as clear cut
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider and all their tutors are extremely supportive they give whatever support is required whether that be a little or a lot, they are always looking for ways to assist and guide through the process, providing hints and tips and sharing links to additional webinars that could be useful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel this qualification and the work I'm doing with this training provider has given me a greater ability to do my role even better than I was before, I now have a greater understanding of insurance across the whole industry and of the processes that are used, this assists in having some difficult conversations with customers
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Pre- Covid, RSA would regularly have professional networking events along with Job Shadowing and away days. As a complaints function we would normally have at least 1 away day per year to discuss hot topics and interact with the other teams. My Team in particular are very social and we would quite often be doing things socially together, nights out, team meals, walking etc

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend RSA Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have in the past, both my Sister and Sister in Law have worked for us previously after I had recommended them, The company is a great lace to work filled with great people that make the bad days good even when working from home and socially distancing. The business also provide some great benefits to its employees
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Group?
I'd tell them its a great place to work, I'd share with them a little about the great employee benefits we have on offer. I'd also explain a little about the job they'd likely be doing and share my own experiences from my time in the many roles I have had over the years
