Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I look after our electric vehicle (EV) department’s operations. I’m responsible for looking at how we can bring new solutions to the market, as well as the day-to-day running of our EV network, in the UK.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The program is enjoyable. It’s a lot of work and it can be difficult at times, but the results are always rewarding. I have confidence the program will help me enhance my career.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes - as part of my apprenticeship I have learnt programming languages, which have helped me in my day to day role, when developing new solutions.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Support within E.ON has been excellent. The training provider has also been very supportive to ensure I get the best out of the program. The skills coach is a really valuable addition, something I didn’t think I’d enjoy!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line management are supportive of the time I require. There is a positive culture in E.ON which recognises the importance of apprenticeships.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider provides a mixture of tools to support. They are easy to work with and help you get a good balance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel the skills are extremely valuable. I’d prefer more hands on programming, the first part of the course was heavy with leadership and business management, which if you’ve done a management course before will be the same familiar stuff.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
