Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
On a day-to-day basic my role includes shadowing the engineers on site and learning in an hands on style where i am watching how the engineer works and embracing what is going on, the engineer will explain to me what he is doing and i will then copy.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I strongly enjoy what i do as everyday is different and i am constantly learning new skills everyday, Its very fun to see how things are actually done and being able to gain that hands on experience that is needed when working in such an industry.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
So far i have developed many skills including my communication skills and improving how to get messages across correctly. I have improved my listening skills as in this environment every detail counts and so its very important to listen carefully. I believe i will Obtain many more and improve any previous skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Overall i believe my structure is well organised, I get to be with an engineer for half the week and also the commercial team the other half so i get to understand everyone's role and how they all play a part in the bigger picture.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Overall i say i receive enough as i know if anything was to go wrong i could speak to my manager as hes a nice guy and that there are others onsite available to talk if my manager isn't available.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
From the training provider there inst much support available, As its all online its hard to learn, Its just lectures and we are made to do assignments without lesson style lessons, however i have spoken to someone about it and support should be made more available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Where as support inst widely available i do believe that learning while being onsite does massively help as you learn things in lessons that you can then transfer when your onsite and you understand whats going on better
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
not at the moment
