Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was given responsibility for 3 discrete tasks during my internship : Working on Interims, completing the weekly performance report and improving the Centrica Model used by my team. We would have daily team catch ups to discuss what everyone is working on and what's coming up, followed by some independent work (getting help when necessary) and then I would always have a catch up with my line-manager in the afternoon to discuss any problems.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I had a lot of individual responsibility throughout my placement, with support available when I needed it.

There's been a great focus on development throughout the placement, whether that's through personal skills or finance specific skills. The reflection document used helps you identify any areas for development and is something I found really useful.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was really easy to approach people outside of your team as everyone I came across was happy to help out and had a genuine interest in you and your work at Centrica. I found it to be a really positive working atmosphere.
