Opening closing the business, running shifts, cash handling, cellar management, rota management. Cross trained in the kitchen
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was interesting to learn so many different sections. There is a lot more to food and drink then I first thought.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was good, but I really didn’t like the end point assessment. I felt that the questions were very long winded. I didn’t understand and what I had revised was nothing that she asked me.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer didn’t give me much support at all. You are supposed to do this course during work tine. And I did not receive this. After working 50 hours a week I had to do this on my days off!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My trainer Victoria I couldn’t fault her at all! She was so friendly and very helpful. If I do any future courses I wish for her to be my trainer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I will find out when I go back to work. Been off for six months doesn’t really help. That was also why I found the discussion hard.

Would you recommend Greene King to a friend?

Why?
Don’t get paid enough for what we do in our roles. Running a pub for 30p more an hour then a normal team member in the kitchen Isn’t good at all!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
If you want anything in life example a promotion out yourself first. But don’t over work yourself too much. You need a work/social life balance.
