Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
I am a claims handler in motor and travel claims. This means when a policy holder has a car accident or travel plans have cancelled I look to investigate the situation the claim occurred under and pay out accordingly to the parties involved.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I enjoy it about half of the time. The star pressure along with exam pressure can get very overwhelming and theirs not often a lot of support given in these times.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt new skills such as admin, telephony, adaptability along with resilience. I believe this role has especially improved my confidence and ability to speak up when i feel the need.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
I do not believe it was a well organised programme at all. My manager did not know I was an apprentice and there has been NO!!! help for being a dyslexic under taking this program.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
Support for the employer is good and well received on a wider level (coms emails and wepages) but in person i feel like stats are pushed more than support given. Zero support for dyslexia and my exam.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Training provider was not very helpful but this may have been largly affected by covid as we only met once.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It gave me a deeper understanding of my role and the on goings around it.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not majorly but this may be due to covid. I am in the neuro diversity group but its not something my role gives me alot of access to.
