Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
At the moment do to covid I am working as a tool maker of sort. machining and engineering fixtures and other tools needed for the work place which would otherwise be sent out. this involves reading engineering drawings and sometimes reverse engineering certain tools.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I do believe the programme could of been organized better and the communication really wasn't up to standard. I did enjoy leaning new things and being in the workplace but the apprenticeship side of things was a let down.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed a number of my skills, and learnt even more. even though most of my skills are about repairing aircraft parts the skills are easily transferable.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
not very. it just seemed like a cycle of year in year out with no passion or injection of enthusiasm. there was very little in the way of organization from a students point of view as everything seemed last minute and communication was sometimes non existent.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
there is plenty of opportunity for support, I have not needed to use any of the support systems in place. they also provide a great benefits package that supports and rewards health lifestyle and other things.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
support from apprentice coordinators - non.
support from the workforce on the shop floor - bucket loads.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
i think the programme is the right length of time as it gives me chance to learn, practice and perfect my skills. having hands on experience in a huge benefit.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
at the moment I am unsure with covid ongoing I don't believe there are any work activities going on.
