currently working as a project manager, so manage, plan, and provide the services to the customer, takes organisational, communication and technical knowledge.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Some times of my apprenticeship scheme was different as there was difficulty with getting the final placements I wanted to go on as there were some organisational skills, But i have now left the scheme and extremely happy where i am in the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Many, personal, presentation skills, time management, communication, AutoCAD, schematic drawings, number of siemens products etc

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
When I first started it was extremely structured but with a new management coming in, there was some difficulties as they tried to integrate more flexibility with rotational placements that unfortunately resulted in a lot of clashes between apprentices as most teams only have the capacity to take on one at a time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Now i am in my final job rold my management has changed to within the department and not the apprentice manager, but I have daily catchups on work and help with anything i would be good for my development and learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Throughout my apprenticeship sheme we occasionally had problems with college but they were often resolved relatively quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
extremely, I entered the apprenticeship scheme knowing i would be completing a HNC/HND and I finished with a first in a controls and automation degree from salford university which is amazing
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
yes there are some sports teams, 3 peak challenges and apprentice socials which is a good way for the younger years to get advice from the years above, this definitely helped me.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a company that will provide you with the best tools for your future and care about their you on a personal level (mental health, physical health, and at home situations).
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
A the start of your rotational placements you may be put in teams that you dont see yourself working in, even if this is the case always work your hardest and make a good impression as now I always know who to go to for help on anything as I managed to develop relationships around the entire business.
