Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The Insight Week was a 5-day programme. Each day had a packed timetable, containing seminars from different employees at Bloomberg and also 'project time' dedicated to the planning of a group project due to be presented at the end of the week. We gained exposure to a variety of different departments who explained how their respective roles fit into Bloomberg's purpose.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Having a holistic overview of Bloomberg helped me better understand the key stakeholders in the business.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
At first, I thought that there was a very formal and serious atmosphere. However, the Team Leaders showed such personality, passion and encouragement that they prompted me to feel like the company culture was much more supportive and less competitive than I had anticipated.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bloomberg
When applying, try to find an edge which makes you stand out from the competition. Once you are in, make sure you show personality. Talk to the Team Leaders and your fellow interns during breaks and show a real interest in learning as much as you can.
