Summer Insight Week - Analytics & Sales Review

Each day was slightly different, but overall they were structure so to involve presentations, time to work on our projects, interactive activities and Q and A sessions. Overall, it was very balanced between that theoretical and practical side, which made it very engaging.

I definitively understood more in depth what the role of Analytics and Sales actually involves, the skills needed and the career development possibilities. I am very glad I had such in-depth experience as I feel more comfortable in applying for this position. On the other hand, I feel that Bloomberg's culture and values are well advertised on their website and through videos and documents. The insight week represented a confirmation.

I definitively developed my communication skills. More specifically, I learned not to be shy and ask questions and to put myself out there. I feel that the PLs could see a difference between Vittoria on Day 1 and 2 compared to the rest of the week. On top of this, I practiced my teamwork skills as for the project, we were five candidates and we did not know each other.

Everyone was extremely friendly. They urged us to ask questions, and throughout the whole week, I felt they took each question seriously, providing thoughtful answers. I had the feeling that they were sincerely happy to dedicate us this time. The general culture and atmosphere at Bloomberg is friendly and cooperative, it did not feel competitive, although it is clear that everyone is extremely determined to do well and is a high-achiever.

I really enjoyed the insight. I wish it was in person as I felt that they recruited an amazing group of candidates and it would have been very interesting to meet each of them in person. I feel that during the first day we should have been a bit more prepared on what was coming (especially for the phantom chat and the global data quiz).
