Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Well its programming... So it involves breaking down user-requirements down into smaller easily soluble solutions. This typically includes creation of front-end UX/UI and the creation of backend services/data-structures/algorithms. So all in all it is quite fun and I would definitely recommend this to any one looking to challenge themselves.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Well; I get paid, I get a degree, I get experience. So all in all I would rate it a solid 10/10.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
How to program properly. Programming is easy - but programming with a specific goal in mind and ensuring you are balancing the requirements in regards to memory/performance is another ballgame. The day-to-day tasks and uni-course has helped me reach my full-potential or rathe is he;ping me reach my full-potential

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The initial training provider was awful - but I had since moved over to University of Warwick and it has been amazing. The course material, structure, and trainers really know what they are teaching - and if they don't know they will do research to help you if possible.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We get 1/2 days a week to do uni-work and they understand we have responsibilities and may not be as knowledgable about certain topics when compared to our senior engineers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
They are always there - it might take a day or two for them to reply; but they always respond giving just enough information to help but not giving too much information which would solve your particular issue for an assignment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It has helped me to better understand programming and how to apply these teachings to my daily role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are opportunities to interact with the community and make a difference such as code like a girl, mentoring and various other things.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vodafone to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Salary, bonus, great management, supportive.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
Be yourself. They hire you as an individual not as who you pretend to be. Also perhaps know how to program a bit before it helps :)
