I spent my time aiding in the office, filing and learning the programs on which data is stored, in addition to the digital mapping. This insight allowed me to use my knowledge of the industry while learning how to use the technology actually used in practice. Additionally, I was taken out on inspections, allowing me to use my people skills in order to aid find remedies to issues and help log details.

I learnt about new sectors that we had not touched on at university. Additionally it was interesting to see how the departments interact within the company. By spending time with the current graduate and more senior members of staff it allowed me to gain an understanding of the growth of roles. By spending time inside the business I realised how diverse and how vast the company is and how many departments are in the firm.

I have had the opportunity to improve my problem solving skills by being on site and listening to problems of the tenants. The use of programs has allowed me to demonstrate my understanding of the theory of real estate practice, while learning how to use the programs adopted in this office. There has been ample opportunity to utilise and develop my people skills both inside and out of the office and online.

The culture was a fun and friendly one and I was pleased to see how many women were in the business as this is something that really appeals to me. The layout of the office allowed a nice buzz of work related chat and allowed me to work with various members of the team with ease.
I felt so welcome and there was a clear aim to help me and be supportive.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this firm and have come away feeling ready to take on the next step in my real estate career. I am now in a more focused mindset and feel I am armed with more knowledge and a much deeper understanding of the industry, while also really enjoying my time here and time spent with those working with Savills.
