Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Within my role, starting out as a new apprentice I did a lot of individual learning, learning the coding languages that were required, after that you will be put into different projects, and attend daily standups where you will discuss what you had done for the day. On a day to day basis I would do my tasks and attend meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme as a whole is very enjoyable, the mix between learning individually and then practically applying that knowledge is very enjoyable. As this was completely new for me, I enjoyed it quite a lot, the aspect of learning new things and then actually using that knowledge to make or do something beneficial for the company.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my time here, I have definitely learnt many new skills . Firstly, my time management and organizational skills have improved substantially. On the more technical side, I have covered a few languages and coded with them, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. On top of this I think my team skills have also improved.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

In terms of structure, it's great. The work and university is split 80 to 20 percent. It allows a good balance to the work and university tasks. You have ample time to do your assignments from university as well as getting on with your tasks from your role in the company.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support received is good, you will have frequent contact with your manager, the apprentice manager as well as other apprentices, this way if you do have any problems, the support and help is always there. Even if you are new and untrained, they give you the relevant resources in order for you to learn and acquire useful skills.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support received from my training provider has also been amazing. You are never left confused on what to do. A good system has been set up so you can effectively receive all resources and information so you can complete your work and assignments on time. The tutors are always ready to help and available so if you are stuck they always can help very quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Through the training provider, I have definitely learnt a lot that can be applied. The different modules have a good balance of theory and practical work, it allows me to learn different technical skills as well as coding languages that an then help me in my actual role. The content from training provider and work you do in you role will definitely go hand in hand.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

As of righting this, there is a global pandemic, so extra curricular activities have definitely been halted or somewhat restricted. But even then, though online meetings and events that have been set up, it does allow for frequent social interaction with other colleagues and apprentices, so even though it is restricted, Vodafone still allows the room for frequent social activities.

Vodafone offers a lot. A comfortable and accepting place to work in, where you will definably receive ample support and learning resources for you to excel and succeed in you career. You are given many opportunities to learn new skills and then apply them practically, through Vodafone they will allow you skills to grow and nurture and become confident in succeeding.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
Firstly, be confident, respectful and cheerful. Make sure when you apply you do you research into Vodafone, if you really want to be apart of Vodafone, then know everything about them. Make sure you prepare for you interviews, there many resources online for you to learn and practice your interviews. Most importantly. have fun!
