Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work on the technical side of projects, giving the details of what functionality needs to be added. Furthermore, I act as a consultant when giving pricing estimates for these projects. I also act as a release manager which is outside of my role description
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme at Vodafone is effective and in-depth. The team look after the best interests of the learner and make sure they're not overwhelmed. They attempt to get the learner involved at all times.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many skills such as effectively communicating in a formal setting as well as holding and running meetings. Also, I have gained confidence and increased my knowledge in the IT sector.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The organization of the programme is very in-depth and covers most things. The company offer you as much time as you need to complete apprenticeship work and also provide mentors to assist with your learning
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive as much support as I could ask from the company, manager, apprenticeship lead and mentors that I am assigned.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
The training provider is awful. The online lectures are non-engaging and provide little support. I feel alone when doing my degree. The skills coach however has tried his best to resurrect this
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Vodafone processes are quite different from standard processes that you are taught about, however the qualification does help to an extent.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a variety of groups at Vodafone from sports teams to the best LGBTQ+ soceity of any company in the UK and held it's own pride march. Vodafone are keen at promoting extra curricular activities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vodafone to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are the nearest 'google-esque' company that the UK has to offer.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
Making yourself visible and networking is hugely important. Also being proactive is a close second in importance.
