Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
at this moment in time i am only 5 months in, so it is still early days. However, the team has been friendly and welcoming as well as helpful in my learning. I am currently responsible for review of network syslogs and managing faults as they happen.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
like i said previously, the job and learning is stressful but they have not expected anything unreasonable from me. overall i would say that i am enjoying the learning experiance.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I came into this course only knowing basic IT skills nothing network based. thanks to the team and the role I am filling in as well as the learning provider, i now have a better understanding of how things work, and am looking forward to learning more skill. it is a bit stressful but that was expected.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
there is a clear progression within the college aspect, and the courses that you will be taking are discussed before starting. within the team, it all depends on what projects/faults are currently being dealt with. i spent the first month just studying with the college, which helped a lot, as the team were otherwise engaged with a project.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
i have not had any issues that i cant approach someone with, either my team or a designated apprenticeship liaison
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
we only have 1 session a month which lasts a day and we only have 2 ongoing assignments at one time. we are able to message the lecturers, however due to them teaching at the college as well, they are not always available, but when they are, they are always helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
as I have said before, i am only 5 months in so I have not completed the course or received the Qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
They run charity events that you can take part in and take days off for. they also offer some extra meetings that you can attend if not too busy which go over opportunities and events within Vodafone.
