Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a chef and also as a team leader is to make sure the kitchen is set up and ready for the days service and ensuring the team is prepared and organised for there daily duty and ensuring service goes smoothly and dealing with any problems that may occur during the day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme to a great extent so far. I think the course so far has met my expectations i had when i signed up for it. I have enjoyed working with all the different people and members of my team and also working under all of the companies values.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i have developed my skills i already and also acquired new skills to help me in my day to day jobs and tasks since starting my apprenticeships. Things like correct ways to communicate with team members and also things like seeing different perspectives in my job role and also been on various external courses.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My experience with the programme has been well organised and structured and adaptable within current times. My trainer has always been reliable and helpful and informative and flexible when I've needed him to be. The training for the course i have received has always been good and well structured to help me.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Through out my course to this point I have always received good and continuous support from everyone with in the business especially from management with in my business. They have always helped me with any issues that may of occurred and have always provided support to me. They have always had a positive attitude.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Since beginning and working my way through my course to this point I have received very good support from my trainer himself. He has always been very reliable in providing help if I have needed it and been flexible to my needs and made the course enjoyable to this point for me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that all of the training and education I have received to this point from my training provider to this point has helped me in my day to day job role a lot to this point and will continue to do so. I have furthered my knowledge about my job role and also the industry.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Within my course to this point there has been a variety of extra curricular activities to attend and take part in including things in and out of work to help me extend my knowledge further including this such as work shop days at the company head office and meeting new people and also things at home such as webinars.

Why?
I personally would recommend Mitchells' and butlers to a friend as a good company to not only work for but also as a good apprenticeship provider to anyone. I would recommend them because of my positive experience I have had to this point and the enjoyable time I have had to this point.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells and Butlers?
If I was giving advice to some one applying to Mitchell's and butlers or already working within the company I would say to always be trying to work to the next steps with in the business. And to some body applying i would say don't be afraid to ask questions when signing up.
